Losing weight for some can be extremely challenging. I am one of those people. I have tried every diet under the sun. Sometimes with exercise, sometimes without exercise. Obviously, everyone is different and must find the best path for them. Some say high protein, low carbs-others say balanced diet. There's Keto diets (also known as the Atkins Diet), Weight Watchers, Noom, counting calories, Intermittent fasting, cutting out all the bad foods, etc. In general, it can be a lot to always be following something if you aren't enjoying what you are doing. How can you truly stick to something if it makes you miserable? If you were less hungry or less stressed, would you eat less and in return lose weight? Some people need a metabolism boost based on body type or age. It truly is a science trying to find what works.
I am definitely one of those challenged people when it comes to losing the weight. I have a comfortable weight that I will stay at even if I don't exercise and just eat responsibly, which may include chips and some sweet treats like cookies, chocolate, or mini cupcakes occasionally. This comfortable weight does not make me feel very comfortable. After 2 full term pregnancies and 2 late term pregnancy losses, I have been up and down in weight for the last 6 years. Prior to my most recent pregnancy I was on a downward trend of weight loss for the first time since 2016. Having a hypothyroid condition of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, as well as other health issues that I had dealt with in my younger years, it has always been a struggle to keep off the weight. Last year, I had finally found a truly magical plan that was allowing me to finally shed those unwanted pounds.
Step one: Find time to get back to exercising. I used to be an avid weight lifter and HIT cardio person. I had the time back then to be in the gym for hours at a time. Now, I have an hour max, if that to get all my exercise done. So, I went back to my training and realized, I didn't need to run or even lift heavy. Of course you can do that if that makes you happy, I'm all for it, but for those who really just can't wrap their head around it, just walk. When I say walk, it's great to get out in nature and walk, but that may not be the fat burning that will do it. If you can keep your heart rate between 140-160, then you are in good shape! I started walking 30 minutes to an hour 3-5 days a week, then added some light weights to keep the fat burning.
Step 2: Support the body with nutritious food, proteins shakes, some healthy fats, and a little carbs if needed. Really a balanced diet with a little bit of everything. Try to have 3 meals a day with snacks. Snacks are a must for me, so I chose a handful of nuts or a piece of cheese and some berries. Pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds are fantastic as well. Well balanced is ALWAYS best. Just be aware of what you put in your mouth if you are a grazer. The more you do it, the less it feels like you are limiting yourself or even on a, should I say the terrible word..., a "diet." A diet is really just a way of eating. It really shouldn't be thought of in such a negative light. If we change how we feel about the word, maybe it won't be so dreaded. It should just be a way of life.
Step 3: Find the right supplements for you. My go to supplements are MethyLift & RescuMe before and after exercise because it allows your autonomic nervous system (ANS) to give you the energy you need to exercise, then afterwards allows your ANS to recover appropriately if you have a rough workout. I also added in some fantastic fat burning supplements that kept my cravings and hunger at bay. Professional Weight Support Tablets, Appetite Control, and hA2cg Evolution. The combination of these three homeopathic supportive supplements allow you to naturally lose weight by helping you with temporary relief of symptoms related to increased appetite, regulation of fat metabolism, headache fatigue, greed in eating, sugar craving, carbohydrate craving, and fat craving. Patients often say that hunger or food cravings are some of the biggest challenges in weight management. Though traditional supplements often involve undesirable stimulants, the homeopathics work with the body to relieve the symptoms of cravings, such as the underlying hormonal, emotional, and physiological issues. Appetite Control can be used daily for all-day weight-management support or can be administered as needed when cravings strike. Cravings can be hard to overcome using willpower alone. Many are using the GLP-1 shots, but if you prefer to do it the natural way, there are GLP-1 supplements. One that works extremely well is the GLP-1 Complete by Vital Nutrients. It is a next-generation weight management solution to reduce food cravings, promote feeling full more quickly, and keep you feeling satisfied longer by activating multiple GLP-1 receptors.
Overall, weight loss or just being healthy takes work and support. That support could be people or supplements. No shame in getting that support if it helps you get to your goal or weight, health or in general just feeling better! Good luck on your journey and let us know if we can help!!
